In the Knick of Time
The Knicks finally put an end to all the Carmelo Athony trade talks. The Knicks decided not to wait until free agency and take the chance of losing Anthony. So are the Knicks a contender now? If not, how long until they become one? Should they have parted with so much to get Anthony?

Yes, they should have made the trade. No, they arent a contender. It is alot easier to build a supporting cast than to get multiple superstars, and the knicks recognized that. They wont be a contender this year because they have no depth, but they will be in the future once they have had time to acquire some solid role players and get used to playing with each other.
